Not as Planned

Sometimes you discover secret trails in public woods, instead of walking the  posted private path.

We had made a special trip to walk a gulley I had walked since I was a kid. Finding a posted sign we journeyed on until we found a beautiful path…

…and a fawn.

Sometimes curves are unpleasant. We discovered raccoons have tiny hands that can reach through tiny holes and destroy things big and small.
(No picture trust me, I screamed)

There are glowing mornings and abundant afternoons.

Pretend play

And sometimes the journey you take leads to amazing surprises

Remember to stop and smell the wildflowers and care about the tiny stuff…

(Look what a sweet boy found- a tiny lizard? A frog-pole?)

Enjoy the moments.

Have a great day!
